Moving along

I Finished this top years ago and I finally got it on the frame to quilt. It's called Washington medallion by Sue Garman.

Time to quilt the UFOs

After my big reveal, I decided it's time to quilt them. No more hemming and hawing over how to quilt them. Time to have fun and get creative. Today's quilt is a pink and white vintage flea market find. I decided to give it a feathered texture to bring out the "girly" in it. I did have an email asking me if my machine was stitch regulated, no its not.  My machine is an APQS Ultimate II an early workhorse machine.  It is hand guided and loads of fun.  I do quilt for others so please feel free to ask. My average price is only $.015per square inch.

Over all the quilt is in good condition.
As you can see there is some puckering and
a few minor stains that should wash out in the final wash.

Attack of the UFOs

Not sure how this got this way, but I have a pile of quilts that need to be quilted. Time to goal set and get them quilted. Not sure what that goal should look like? Maybe one a week and that will leave time for customer quilts. Working on Liz today. Then I will address the issue of the pile.

Quilting update Mary is Done

Way back when a group of us started making Chester.  A reproduction quilt using fabric from the William Penn's Vision by Windham Fabrics.  The pattern "Chester County Medallion we knick named the quilt Chester. I loved working this quilt and had enough fabric left over to make William son of Chester.  From William his Bride was created from scraps I call this quilt Mary wife of William.  Finally in progress is Samuel child of William and Mary, made from the remaining scraps!

Giving quilts to causes

 This pretty pink quilt will be donated to one of my favorite charities, the Gloria Gemma Foundation, which supports women with breast cancer. Quilting has a rich  tradition of helping causes and hopefully this quilt will be no exception. The quilt is made up of 12 sampler blocks that were exchanged from www.quiltingaroundtheworld.com.  I then set the quilt in a traditional manor and finished it with an all over quilt design.

Putting away The quilts

As the season is warming up it's now time to wash and put away the quilts. I placed this bunch to put up stairs and my kitty boy, Arnie decides a spring nap was in order!
