Contests: Get Free Quilting!

Lately my quilting business has been a little slow. Maybe it's the dog days of summer? I thought it would be fun to give away free quilting. But I need a quilter to give it too! Soooo, here's the plan leave a comment below why and what you need quilted, if I can get 100 unique comments, I will pick one to quilt free. Only limitations is the quilt can not be over 90 inches. So here's a great chance to reduce your UFO pile. If in the meantime you need something quilted give me an email you will be surprised how affordable it can be. Leave an email so I know how to contact you or email me with your comment number and I will record your entry that way. Don't forget to follow me:)

  1. I have a Christmas Tree quilt that I know the quilting design I want for it. My problem is that I can't get a proper marking tool to make the markings show up. And the free hand is not looking good.

  2. What a wonderful idea! I have so many quilt tops that get to the completed stage and then just sit, mostly because I hate basting, but partly because I don't know how to quilt them. I think I'd send a quilt top made with a gorgeous Asian panel; I'm sure you could quilt it much better than I could!

  5. I would SO love to have you help me out with some of my UFO's. I have way too many tops that will never get finished without some help. Thinking about it right now, I'd probably send you my Midnight Flower Garden.

  6. I have a few quilt tops that need quilting and I think your giveaway is very generous.

I completed a quilt top (Color Theory Swap at QATW) and I showed it to my MIL. She fell in love with the colorful quilt top and I would love to have it quilted with pretty scrolls for her enjoyment. She's 86y/o and has dementia. She recently lost her "honey" of 60 years about 2 months ago and although it's gotten better, she relives the emotions of our answers, when she asks "where's Russ, where's my honey?". It just breaks my heart but it's a process the whole family is dealing with over and over and over again...with lots of love toward my wonderful MIL (whom I personally adore!) Thanks for reading this long post.

  7. I have a pile of UFO's but nothing I'm ready to quilt. How crazy is that? LOL Actually, I would LOVE to have my "Spooktacular" top quilted and I know exactly how I want it done. I'm just too intimidated by it to try it! I know you do wonderful work and I would trust you with it in a minute! Btw, I'm about to start my very own bed quilt (FINALLY!!!!) and you're going to get that one as soon as I have it ready. :)

  8. I don't remember being invited to your blog before...maybe my bad memory. Anyway, I enjoyed browsing your quilts. Especially love the big medallion.

I have a golf themed quilt almost in action: pieces cut and sewing to start as soon as company leaves. It is for a great-nephew who loves golf because his daddy does. He was born before I started making baby quilts for the new ones, so I owe him one. Having it quilted would move it along.

    1. Welcome! I always wanted to make a golf themed quilt, as I love to golf. Did you find golf fabric? I have only seen a few so far.

  9. Wow, what a generous offer. I would love to have one of my quilts done by a 'real' longarmer. I've only either hand quilted or done them on my dsm, and I'm a little intimidated by larger quilts. I've mostly only stippled, so it would be nice to have something else on the bed, or in the donation pile!
Thank you for your kind offer.

  12. That is a generous offer. If I were to win, I'd have a quilt done for charity. I don't know the measurements, but I don't think it's over 90". If it is, I would pay the difference. Someone from church donated a quilt top that someone else made, so I figured I would quilt it, or have it done & our church could raffle it off as part of a fund raiser.

  13. I have a water dragon quilt that needs a very special touch. He is so sick and tired of sitting on my sewing table waiting forever to be quilted. He needs that finishing touch so he can fly to my son. ( His engagement gift) He's waited a long time to be quilted and is looking forward to being with my son Colin. It's not often that someone allows a dragon into their home ! LOL
Thanks for your generous offer to quilt. Helena and her dragon.

  14. What a wonderful offer-- so sweet of you!! :-) Hmmm... now which of my so many quilt tops would I choose?... I think I would pick a top made from blocks that I received in a birthday swap a few years ago. I chose the Lover's Knot block in purple, lavender and green-- and love the top so much! I would love to have it machine quilted.. because even though I have great intentions, I rarely ever get around to quilting any of the many tops I've completed. Thank you so much for your generous giveaway!! :-)

  15. WOW!that is quite an offer to quilt a quilt for one of us. That is fantastic!! I have too many to choose from. I think it would be one of my Thimbleberry quilts from the club. I did that club for several years and have a few tops from that, that need quilting. I have a quilting sewing machine that fits my frame but the machine has been in and out of the shop too many times due to it making thread nests on the back side of my quilts. Now I'm afraid to try it again because I don't want to have to frog stitch it any more. Hope I get picked. Thanks for the offer.
